Creating a Connected Future for Pollinators. One Garden at a Time.
Imagine driving through your town and instead of empty mulch beds and lifeless landscapes, every business, school, church, neighborhood, and front yard becomes part of a living network filled with butterflies, native bees, hummingbirds, and the wildlife that depends on them.
That is the vision behind the Pollinator Pathway Project through Monarch Ranch Butterfly Conservatory.

What started as a simple community project has become a growing conservation movement throughout South Carolina. Businesses, homeowners, churches, schools, and organizations are joining together to create connected habitats that help pollinators safely travel through our communities!
Every planter. Every garden.
Every native flower becomes another stop along the pathway!
Together, we’re rebuilding habitat one business, and property at a time!

Why this matters
Pollinators can’t survive without habitat.
Butterflies, native bees, moths, hummingbirds, and many other beneficial pollinators are disappearing as natural habitat continues to be replaced by development.
Many pollinators simply don’t have enough food or safe places to rest during their migration journey. A single pollinator garden may seem small, but hundreds of connected gardens can completely change an entire community!
Every business and resident that participates, becomes part of a state-wide conservation effort for the worlds most important creatures

Yes, anyone can participate!
Whether you own a business, manage a commercial property, or simply want to help from your own backyard, there’s a place for you in the Pollinator Pathway Project.
